Supporting Documents
To support your application, we require the following documents to be uploaded when submitting the application form. These are:
- A Governing Document in the name of your organisation.This should clearly show your organisation’s objects and be in the name of your organisation. An asset lock and dissolution clause should also be present. Failure to upload the correct documents will render your application ineligible. Before you upload, please double-check check your Governing Document contains everything required.If you are a CIC and your charitable objectives do not appear on your governing document, you must attach a copy of your CIC36 form to your governing document before submitting.
- Signed Accounts The attached accounts must show income and expenditure for a full financial year.For Charities, they must be signed by a Trustee, and an Independent Examiner and/or Auditor if required. These accounts must be the most recent set of signed accounts that meet the SORP requirements of the regulator. For Companies, they must be signed by a Director, and be the most recent set of annual accounts that meet the regulators' requirements aligned to the organisation's size. We require your annual accounts to include a profit and loss statement that aligns with the Companies Act 2006 Profit and Loss Account Formats. If providing this as a separate document it must also be signed.
- Management Accounts If the end date of your accounts is more than 13 months ago, please upload either management accounts or draft accounts or an explanation of the interim period in addition to your latest accounts. This will help us understand the current financial health of your organisation. For full requirements regarding these accounts, please refer to our FAQs
- A Bank Statement dated within the last 90 days. This must be dated from the last 90 days and have the name of your organisation clearly visible. Please note, we only accept bank accounts and not Wise accounts, ANNA, MoneyCorp, or any other electronic money services. If we assess your application and you do not have an UK bank account that meets our criteria, your application will not be eligible.
- Your organisation’s Safeguarding Policy. Only requires submission if your organisation has previously indicated on the form that you work with children or vulnerable adults.
Your organisation's name must be identical on the regulator website, the bank account, your governing document, annual accounts, safeguarding policy and the application under which you are submitting. Any changes to the name must be officially documented and provided to the Trust when you apply.
